The Rock Pigeon, a sizable bird, is widespread globally with wild and feral populations. In its natural habitat, true wild pigeons nest on cliffs and in caves ranging from western Europe to central Asia. They sport a pale gray hue, accented by two distinct black wingbars and shimmering iridescent purple and green on the neck. Found commonly in urban areas and farmlands, feral variations are prevalent, often gathering in sizable groups. Their appearances vary greatly, mirroring wild types yet exhibiting complete black, white, or orangey-brown plumage, with assorted combinations in between.
