Tall, winged raptor found in marshes with reeds. Often seen flying low over wetlands, displaying a V-shaped posture. Predominantly dark brown with varying cream accents on head, throat, and wing edges. Brightest males sport tricolored wings, gray tail, and rusty-brown belly set against pale head and breast. Similar to Eastern Marsh-Harrier but distinguished by a white cap and eye line absent in the latter''s appearance.
