Spanish Sparrow
Passer hispaniolensis

Resembling the House Sparrow in size and shape, this bird exhibits distinctive features during the breeding season. Males showcase a heavily streaked black breast and back, complemented by a rufous crown and nape. Their appearance becomes more subdued outside of breeding times. Distinguishing females from female House Sparrows can be challenging, yet they typically possess larger bills and paler bellies. With a colonial nature, these birds construct large stick nests, frequently under or within White Stork nests.
