Teal

Small duck with a slender bill: males sport brown heads with broad green swaths behind the eyes, speckled creamy breasts, and primarily gray bodies. Female counterparts are darker than typical dabbling ducks, sporting a brown hue overall. They feed by dabbling, tipping up to access underwater plants, and often traverse mudflats on foot for sustenance.
