Mute Swan

Large white bird with a lengthy neck, reddish-orange beak, and black facial markings. Adults sport a distinctive black knob atop the bill, while immature individuals display a dusky brown hue with a gray bill. Originally hailing from northern Europe and Asia, it has been successfully introduced to various regions, becoming a prevalent sight on ponds, lakes, and tranquil coastal waters. This species exhibits aggressive behavior towards native waterfowl and is frequently observed in pairs or small familial clusters.
